Downham Cluster Boccia Festival
On Wednesday 29th January Wereham Village Hall welcomed local schools from the West Norfolk School Sports Partnership to take part in a Boccia Festival. This new event was added to the Downham cluster event programme for schools to try something different.
Tracy Bower, School Sports Coordinator for the Partnership said ‘we had teams from Hillcrest, Wormegay and Runcton Holme playing a series of games at this fantastic venue with all students gaining success and improving as players’
At the end of the afternoons play Wormegay Wobblers were crowned champions, closely followed by Runcton Rollers, Hillcrest Hurlers, Runcton Renegades, Wormegay Whistlers and Hillcrest Hotshots.
Community Engagement & Activities Manager at Wereham Village Hall, Craig Terrington said ‘this was a great event to host and our facility really worked well for the Boccia event. We want to thank Tracy and the schools for choosing Wereham Village Hall’ he added ‘hopefully this is the start of a good working relationship and we are able to host future events for the Partnership’
